When the HS-11 “Dragonslayers” returned to NAS Jacksonville after the final deployment of the USS Enterprise (CVN 65) in 2012, they were scheduled to change their homeport to Norfolk, Va., where they would transition to the MH-60S helicopter platform. But a change the Navy’s Master Aviation Plan delayed the transition – making the Dragonslayers the final HS squadron to deploy, in this case, with Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 1 on board USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN 71).
