Jacksonville Navy Metro Fire & Emergency Services hosted the mobile fire pump tester June 9 from NAS Pensacola. In addition to the three fire trucks assigned to NAS Jacksonville, the “Draft Commander” pump testing team also checked the fire trucks at Naval Station Mayport and Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay.
Every fire and ladder truck in the Navy must be tested annually to certify that it can to safely pump water to certain specifications.
